9-10 on sides last week that simply will not feed the kids back at home. This week I may have to condense the card to ensure a better percentage of winners. Cannot have 29 plays just to break even on the week and loose money on the juice once we factor in the fact that I can’t put together a three leg parlay to save my life in college football which is very sad. At least last week every single leg of the parlay failed to hit so thats great. It is just as impressive to 0-3 as it is 3-0 remember that always kids life is all about perspective. A dear friend of mine told me last friday night if you can’t hit at 70% of your picks what is the fucking point. That being said this week I am gonna do just that this one is for you Randy.
Sides YTD 38-34-1
SDSU (+6.5) vs Boise State
This Broncos team is a far cry from what we think of when we think of Boise State. Along with the fact that they fired their offensive coordinator and the QB said I am out of here and hit the portal faster than a Delorean going 88. I think the ponies have a long way to go to get back to Mountain West dominance. SDSU and Boise are both high variance teams this year so give me the points and lets see if I can win a week night bet.
Washington (-2.5) vs UCLA
I am all the way in on the Michael Penix Jr experience for the huskies. The Rose bowl is done a disservice by allowing the bruins to call it home. A Friday late night game will anyone be in the stands for UCLA? I like the huskies a lot in this one.
Kentucky (+7) vs Ole Miss
I put the Rebs on the sheet for the first time last week and what do those motherfuckers do??? The Lane Kiffin lead Ole Miss Rebels did not score a single point in the second half. Unforgivable. I do not think this Kentucky team are a bunch of world beaters, but getting RB Chris Rodriguez should help them control the pace down in Oxford. I think these teams are pretty close in terms of talent so give me the Cats and a Touchdown worth of points.
Purdue vs Minnesota (-11.5)
This Golden Gophers team has been putting everyone they play through a damn meat grinder. They also seem to never leave the state this already being their 4th home game this year. Aiden O’Connell Purdue’s sixth year QB also seems like he will not be playing for the boilermakers this weekend. I will keep betting Minnesota until they give me a reason not to.
Oregon State vs Utah (-10)
I really like this beavers team they are a fun spunky group that plays an interesting brand of offensive football to watch. That being said when the Utes are at home up in those mountains they are a different kind of animal to play. The Utes in home games this year have already had nude co-eds in nothing, but red body paint in the stands in a game against Southern Utah. They also had a 21 year old female student threaten to blow up the nuclear reactor on campus if the football team did not beat SDSU. What a beautiful sport this is. Give me the Utes laying the points and I will be praying for another ridicules story to come out of Salt Lake this weekend.
Alabama vs Arkansas (+17.5)
I wish I had a video of my face when the game winning kick hit the absolute apex of the goal post before carrening back to earth as the referees signal no good last Saturday night in Arlington. If I had a video like that someone would be able to do the Simpsons bit of “You can actually pinpoint the second when his heart rips in half.” The hogs return to Fayetteville this weekend though and what do they get as a pick me up?? Just the devil himself Nick Saban and his vaunted Crimson tide. That being said the Tide in recent years have had trouble covering spreads of around this size on the road. They are my team so I would be betting this regardless, but the true metal of Sam Pittman and his wild band of Razorbacks will be tested this saturday on CBS at 2:30 in front of the entirety of the United States.
Iowa State vs Kansas (+3)
Bernie Sanders Meme: I am once again asking you to believe in the Kansas Jayhawks.
Northwestern vs Penn State (-25)
Northwestern has consecutive losses to Duke, Southern Illinois, and Miami (OH). Penn State will make the Valley happy this weekend and coach Pat Fitzgerld will be left wondering what a NFT is a concept James Franklin I am sure will be happy to fill him in on. https://twitter.com/i/status/1575168823505743874
Ohio vs Kent State (-11.5)
This image is how I imagine the Kent State Golden Flashes feel now that they are finally in conference play. They will beat the hell out of Ohio this weekend.
Georgia (-29.5) vs Missouri
The Bulldogs did not look great last week vs the previously mentioned Golden Flashes. Kirby Smart has just the medicine for that though. How about a nice road trip to Colombia Missouri to beat the absolute breaks off a overmatched Tigers team. Jettson Bennett and Brock Bowser leave no doubt in this one all dogs, proving the age old adage that dogs are better than cats.
Totals YTD 27-22-1
Utah State vs BYU (Over 59.5)
This mans grandson Gunner Romney plays WR for the BYU cougars. He is very good and this is his first game back give me the over.
Michigan vs Iowa (Under 42)
The Wolverines do not turn the ball over very often. That being said I am not sure how the Hawkeyes score if they can’t score on defense. Michigan is still too reliant on the running game to be a complete offensive team and they will struggle mightily in Kinnik to score. Those all add up to a under in this one.
Navy vs Air Force (Under 38.5)
In this house we take service academy unders. Respect the troops and their incessant desire to run the football.
Texas State vs JMU (Over 51.5)
The Dukes pummel teams they are better than and they are better than Texas State.
Oklahoma State vs Baylor (Under 56.5)
This ain’t your daddys Big 12. In this rematch of the Big 12 championship from a year ago where the teams combined to score 37 points. Now I do not think either of these teams are as good as they were last year defensively, but I don’t think they are 20 points worse.
Rutgers vs Ohio State (Over 58)
The Buckeyes at home? Against Rutgers?? They might get 59 by themselves.
Wake Forrest vs FSU (Over 64.5)
Wake has a great offense and a bad defense this one may get weird with hurricanes and weird weather roaming around the southern United States so it is hard to say Thursday evening how that may effect a game played on Saturday.
UTEP vs Charlotte (Over 52)
Going back to the well for another week and why wouldn’t I. All the Miners do is give up a billion points and score a million themselves.
Arizona State vs USC (Over 61)
Back home in the comfort of the coliseum against a dead team the Trojans should score 50 this game. Can the Sun Devils get a few Interim head coach scores?
Stanford vs Oregon (Over 64)
Bo Nix after Dark there will be points.
