Ramblin, Gamblin NFL PickEm Week 8

Welcome back to the pickem this week folks. Last week had all the potential to be promising and the bets I was most confident in did not hit. This is pain. None the less we are back in the saddle for week 8.

Well yet another week of being even on bets which is not a good way to make money. Going even doesnt even beat the juice, and we cant have that.

I hope yall were lucky enough to get in on the CFB pickem that Reed posted last week. Boy made a hell of a sheet. I promise we will both get hot one week and we will be doing great things here on the blog.

Ok, lets get into game summaries, I am going to skip the stats for this week. Starting off with Cardinals -2.5. What a weird game really, and the only prime time game I won. I was worried as hell at first, Saints came out swinging early, but boy the cardinals turned it on for the last 3 quarters. Easy dub here.

Next on the sheet last week was my beloved Cowboys. This game was making me nervous in the first half. I was like what the hell are we doing against this garbage ass Lions team. Was never worried about the under. That was a lock. Luckily Dallas caught some traction with Zeke and a few good gains through the air to get it done for us.

Commanders absolutely tore up Aaron Rodgers on Sunday and what the hell was that. I think Rodgy is gonna get swept by the NFC East or… NFC BEAST. I dont even know what to say about this game. Packers to win by 5 felt like the easiest bet last week and they shit the bed. I am furious.

Cheifs vs niners turned out to be a pretty decent game to watch in my opinion. Chiefs looked real good again this week, but who knows what the hell will happen with them next week. Not much to say about this. Mahomes got it done in San Fran for the cover.

Dolphins vs steelers. This one Ill put on bad research, but either way my pick wouldve been the same. Tua was trying to ball but had some rust to shake off. The cover here was 100% possible, but there were simply too many errors by the fins. I also was not aware the Pickett would be back this week. I fully believe with the right experience and coaching that boy is gonna be something special. He didnt look perfect but he did get it done down there for the cover.

Pats are so bad. Reed I am sorry, but what in the flying fuck was that. Pats were in GIllette and had two good QBs and still could not get it done. Justin Fields finally looked like he was a NFL QB, which was not great for us. Mac Jones is AHT, and Zappe is IN. Im not sure what it will take to earn my trust in betting on them again though. On to the picks.

NFL Picks YTD 6-6

Ravens (+1.5) vs. Buccaneers

Alright, thats it. I gave Brady a chance on the sheet once, and he shit the bed. Brady shouldve stayed in retirement. Lamar Jackson and the Ravens are too damn good, I dont think they should be Dawgs, but ill take it. Honestly Ravens ML not a horrible pick. Bucs STINK, Brady STINKS, and the Ravens are gonna get a big dub on the road.

Jaguars (-2.5) vs. Broncos

Russell WIlson is still not good. Hes become increasingly weird since hes been in Colorado. I think the Jags are good enough to cover 3 points over this trash Broncos team. They are technically at home after all. Give me Trevor Lawrence and the boys to get it done in London.

Cowboys (-9.5) vs. Bears

I am gonna bet this regardless so might as well put it on the sheet. Lot of points here folks. But hear me out. Dak is back, shaken the rust off. Our receivers are healthy. Zeke is starting to look better, and TP is still a stud. Parsons will sack Justin Fields 3 times this game. Boys are coverin this. Also the O/U is pretty low so thats an alternative if you dont like the spread.

Dolphins (-3.5) vs. Lions

Dolphins are good, I still believe in them even after what they did to me last week. Lions are still bad. Dolphins cover this small spread.

Bills (-4.5) & Over 41.5 vs. Packers (-119)

This is gonna be a glorious game. Bills and Josh Allen are back in the saddle after a bye week. I think the original 10.5 points is a little high, so we are gonna tease this down, and take the over. I think both teams can score points, but the Bills are a damn wagon.

Bengals (-3.5) vs Browns

Browns are on the struggle bus. They are not good. The Bengals are hot and cold, but I think they pull it together enough to come out of this game with the cover. Once again ill state it, I am a Joey B guy, go get the cover and rip a cigar kid.
