GOTY winner book it. LSU -2.5 and they won by 25 going away. At one point LSU was down 17-3 they ended up scoring 42 of the next 45 points to win the game 45-20. I was dead right about this game and I will let y’all hear about it when I am, because I expect everyone to let me know when I am dead wrong as well. I also hit the first parlay of the week this weekend a feat I thought I may go the whole year without achieving. Not only did those two earners both hit, but I went 10-6 on the weekend overall to beat the juice. I easily had my best saturday of the year and we are coming back for a second helping this Saturday.
Sides YTD 56-59-1
Arkansas (-3.5) vs Auburn
Games that I attend I tend to bet big. I think with an extra week of rest this hogs team will be ready to put some points on the board at Auburn. I along with the rest of the college football world has been wondering when the inevitable knife will fall on Brian Harsin’s neck at Auburn I think we may reach critical mass this weekend with a home loss to Arkansas. If there is one thing boosters hate it’s inviting all their rich friends to their tailgates just to lose home games (and not cover) truly an unforgivable sin.
Notre Dame vs Syracuse (-2.5)
The Irish are having an odd season under first year man Marcus Freeman. They have lost on the road to Ohio State along with two home losses to Marshall and Stanford. This team will likely end the year 6-6 if they lose this game. 11am in the carrier dome coming off a loss I look for the Orange to bounce back and grind down the Irish in this one.
Rutgers vs Minnesota (-14)
The golden gophers got their asses served to them on a silver plater last week by Penn State. I like them to lick their wounds and get back to bully ball against a bad rutgers team at home.
Florida vs Georgia (-22.5)
This is my favorite rivalry going off of name alone “The worlds largest outdoor cocktail party” just can’t be beat. Played annually in Jacksonville florida and lately it has been the dogs being the team sitting back and enjoying gimlets at the end of the game. I see no reason that changes this year dogs roll in this one.
Oklahoma State (+2) vs Kansas State
I don’t know the numbers exactly, but I feel I have been bad at betting sides in the big 12. Gundy getting points against a conference opponent that isn’t bedlam though I will take the pokes to go into manhattan and emerge with a victory.
Wake Forest (-3.5) vs Louisville
The demon deacons were one of the three teams that broke the parlay streak last week, therefore they get an honorary week as a pick this week.
Kentucky vs Tennessee (-12.5)
I won’t be picking against Tennessee until they play Georgia in a few weeks. Tennessee is back on Rocky Top this week in some crazy looking all black uniforms they should put up a 50 bomb this week.
Michigan State vs Michigan (-23)
Little brother this year just isn’t cut from the same cloth. Michigan State won’t be intimidated from the grandeur of the big house, but it won’t matter. Michigan is putting it together after that dismantling of State Penn and I see no cause for pause as to why they won’t dismantle their in state rivals in the same fashion.
Totals YTD 45-35-1
Utah vs Wazzu (Over 54.5)
Not exactly sure why the Pac 12 does scheduling the way they do. Making one of your best teams go play on a thursday night in pullman in late october is exactly why the Pac-12 has not had a playoff team in several years. Wild things happen out there after dark though so I will take the over seeing as I will probably be up drinking anyways so it will be nice to have something to watch.
Ohio State vs Penn State (Over 61)
The Buckeyes are good for 40+ off the buss vs anyone in the Big 10 except maybe michigan. For the rest of the year just take Ohio State overs and let me know how you end up doing I think we will turn a profit doing that.
Cincinnati vs UCF (Over 55.5)
The American just has the propensity to get out of hand when it comes to scoring points.
Oregon vs Cal (Over 58)
The Ducks have it rolling right now behind the arm of Bo Nix just gonna need a little help from the golden bears at home to get us over the number.
USC vs Arizona (Under 76.5)
These mid to high 70 numbers are just to inflated to not bet down with USC away from the coliseum.
Michigan State vs Michigan (Over 55)
I see a very similar game script as the Penn State vs Michigan game in this one. Michigan will have to do most of the heavy lifting to propel the game over.
Ole Miss vs Texas A&M (Under 54.5)
The Aggies are gonna drag the rebels down into the mud with them in college station. Ole miss escapes with a win in a low scoring affair.
Stanford vs UCLA (Under 66)
Stanford is going through changes and it is my belief they will do enough to muddy this game up and keep the game ugly.
