12-5! I went 12-5 last week with the 17 picks I gave you all. Those are the weeks we all do this for. I hope you followed the sheet last week. This past week really got me on track for the year and let’s hope to have another great week this week. Last weekend might have been the best sporting weekend in a long time. Between the Red River shootout, The Arkansas vs Ole Miss game, and Alabama going down in college station what a weekend. Also Texas might be in my gambling graveyard for a while after the last two weeks betting on them and having a winner the whole way until it wasn’t. Even our +3.5 looked good on that game thinking OU was just gonna run a few times and kick and then they take it the distance to win it in regulation and cover just brutal.
Sides YTD 16-15
Clemson vs Syracuse (+14)
This one might get a little weird. 6:00 PM kick local time on a friday night in the carrier dome. This is also quickly becoming a fade Dabo and the tigers blog. I think this Clemson offense is terrible and getting two touchdowns at home on a Friday night where more people will be watching than if this was at 11am on Saturday. I like the Orange to keep this one close.
SDSU (-8.5) vs San Jose State
This SDSU team is very quietly simply winning all the games they play. On the other hand San Jose State has been all over this place this year and imagine this Nick Starkel has regressed at QB from last year. I like the Aztecs to get this one done for us.
Michigan St (-4.5) vs Indiana
I may be buying in on this Michigan St team too late. However Indiana has regressed from last year and Mel Tucker has this spartans team playing really good football. I think Michigan st will fall soon, just not this week. Sparty wins this one going away in Bloomington this weekend.
Rutgers (-2) vs Northwestern
This one feels like a bit of a trap game, but I will attempt to take the cheese regardless. Northwestern coming off a bye week and at home after getting absolutely thumped by Nebraska combined with Rutgers losing three straight weeks to Michigan, Ohio st, and Michigan st. two of those games being at home. I still just think this Northwestern team isn’t any good. We will see if they have any pride in this one.
UCF vs Cincinnati (-20.5)
UCF is no longer the UCF of old. Without Dillion Gaberial this team is sinking and quickly. Coming off a loss at Navy I don’t see things getting any better for the Knights. Cinci avoided a let down spot last week after their win at Notre Dame and after getting that shiny new ranking of third in the country its all hands on deck to blow every team left on their schedule out of the water. Bearcats in this one and Big.
Purdue vs Iowa (-11.5)
This may end up being a letdown spot for Iowa, but I don’t see how Purdue can score in this one. Iowa is gonna force at a minimum three turnovers and probably win this one 28-3.
Alabama (-17) vs Mississippi State
Saban has to get some money back for the Tuscaloosa boosters this week. The tide won’t let their foot off the gas for a long time in this one and it is gonna get real ugly for the bulldogs of Starkville really quickly in this one. Roll Tide.
Totals YTD 16-12
SDSU vs SJSU (Over 41.5)
41.5 is a really low number. I know I said I do not trust SJSU’s offense, but that number is too low. I think SDSU wins handley and puts up 30+. That means we only need a score or two from SJSU.
Auburn vs Arkansas (Over 54)
Arkansas has been money on overs every week other than A&M week in jerry world. They put up 54 in a loss last week. Granted that was against an Ole miss defense that is frankly horrible. 54 however is two low of a number last year in this game Arkansas should have won on the road and the total went over give me the over and this one should be good.
Florida vs LSU (Over 59)
I am addicted to betting Florida overs. This Gators offense is awesome on the ground and this LSU defense is swiss cheese. I worry with the rent problems LSU is having keeping their good players from playing through some injuries. How many that offense will be able to score, but in death valley they should be able to put up a few points.
Oklahoma St vs Texas (Under 59.5)
I keep not believing in this Okie st team and all they keep doing is winning. I do think the Cowboys defense is pretty good and I’m suspicious about their offense so give me the under, because I am tired of being on the wrong side when it comes to Texas.
Texas A&M vs Missouri (Under 61)
Mizzou is really bad. Texas A&M is coming off their biggest win in forever and having to go to columbia. I still am not a huge believer in calzoda even though he played the game of his life last week. This bet you will know if you have a winner however within the first 5 min of this game.
Kentucky vs Georgia (Over 44)
It is wild that gameday is going back to Athens so soon. I love this Kentucky team and I have been right on betting their sides all year. I can’t take them here though this Georgia team is flat out amazing. Both these teams have great defenses so could easily see a 24-10 game and a loss, but I think Georgia is gonna put up some points at home.
Purdue vs Iowa (Under 43)
I am back in on the Iowa under lifestyle. Just give me a grind it out ugly game in Iowa city. Like I mentioned earlier I just don’t see how Purdue scores in this game.
Ole Miss vs Tennessee (Under 82)
Part of me really just wants to take the highest ever SEC total because I think it would be fun. A total of 80+ however has to be an Under play two punts practically and you’re there. I do think this will be a fun game and you may have to sweat this one which is hilarious to think about given the number.
