What a brutal week for my side plays. More is not necessarily better evidently since I went a stunning 2-8 in sides last week just horrible. Going 5-3 in totals helped salvage the weekend from being an absolute bloodbath, but it was nevertheless a wretched experience last week gambling. This week however we have some midweek MACtion to get us through the work week which is always one of my absolute favorite times of the college football season. I got a feeling this is a bounce back week and overall I am still 9 games above .500 picking games this year it’s important to remember the 12-5 weeks when you are fresh off a 7-11 week. So let’s bounce back this week and get another week of winners.
Sides YTD 28-29
CMU (+10) vs WMU
A instate rivalry game on a wednesday night with two teams that hate each other because of how close and similar they are. Familiarity breeds contempt. It is always fun to bet Dogs in the MAC due to the Nature that all the teams in most years are not that far apart talent wise. I like the chips in this one to keep it close.
Army (+2.5) vs Air Force
This year’s commander and chief trophy is very much up for grabs in this one with navy having a down year and Air force having one of their better seasons in recent memory the Falcons could easily do it this year. That being said, the dogs in these matchups historically are monsters against the spread. I like the Black nights to be able to match Air Forces tempo well and win this game.
Liberty vs Ole Miss (-9.5)
While Liberty has Malik Willis at QB, a guy that is gonna get drafted highly more than likely it won’t matter in this one. This is simply a matchup of SEC talent vs a team that lost outright as 31 point favorites earlier in the season to ULM. Ole Miss roles in this one.
Wake Forest (+3) vs UNC
This is such a trap game with an unranked UNC being favored against an undefeated wake team that can score a million points. This Tarheels team has been all over the place this year and you never know what you’re going to get with them. That being said, Wake’s march to the ACC championship rolls on with a win in Chapel hill this weekend.
Auburn (+5) vs Texas A&M
Bo Nix has got his swagger back. This Auburn team is playing its best football of the season right now. I know Nix has historically struggled on the road, but this year he has been much improved in that area. I think this is a matchup of QB’s and I think Nix is better than Calzada for A&M.
Wisconsin (-12) vs Rutgers
This Badgers team that we all left to die early in the season has quietly turned their season around. Rutgers on the other hand is longing for those September Saturdays again. Paul christ and the boys play bully ball and win this one going away.
Iowa vs Northwestern (+11.5)
This Iowa team does not deserve to be over a 10 point road favorite against nearly any team in the big 10 right now. I know Northwestern is really bad this year and I definitely see the Hawkeyes winning this game 11.5 is simply too many points pray for no pick 6s in this one.
Totals YTD 31-21
Army vs Air Force (Under 36.5)
Games between service academies have hit the under at a clip of 39-9-1 since 2005.
Missouri vs Georgia (Under 59)
I do not see how Mizzou can score against this Georgia defense let alone on the road. This Georgia defense is the exact parrell of the 2019 LSU offense in that they are the most dominant college defensive unit I have seen in my lifetime Dawgs roll.
Auburn vs Texas A&M (Over 49.5)
I know both these teams boast pretty good defenses, but I can see this one sliding into the sneaky shootout category. I think if Auburn is going to cover like I’ve said then they’re gonna score some points and A&M at home is not just gonna roll over.
Miss St. vs Arkansas (Over 56)
With the bulldogs coming to town mike leach brings with him a pretty good team and all the offensive prowess that comes with him. Barry Odem was able to get the better of him last year in Starkville, but I struggle seeing that happen twice. This Razorback team can score some points and at home finally in Fayetteville after nearly a month long hiatus and off a bye week the boys should have plenty of fireworks in them this saturday.
Tennessee vs Kentucky (Over 57.5)
I think Kentucky has a bounce back week at home after getting embarrassed on the road against State. With Hooker back closer to 100% I like the vols to score some points and keep this one fun.
Indiana vs Michigan (Over 50.5)
Michigan just had their heart ripped out of their chest last week on the road against the spartans. Nothing like having little ole Indiana coming up to the big house to make things a little better for a week. Michigan scores a million in this one.
Oregon vs Washington (Over 51)
Sometimes it just comes down to betting on the teams that have won you money. Oregon brutally missed the cover for us by a point last week. That being said they hit the over by themselves. So simply math means we don’t bet Oregon spread this week and instead just take the over ducks and big in this one.
