9-4-1 week last week not bad at all especially redeeming with a 5-1-1 mark on my side plays after a brutal week before on them. The one game I totally missed in brutal fashion was the Auburn game. I mean a 20-3 slugfest in a game I had Auburn and the over. Other than that I am seeing the bored well on saturdays. Let’s try and put together another week and enjoy these last few weeks of college football together.

Sides YTD 33-30-1

Michigan (+1) vs Penn State

This is a pure motivational play. What does Penn State really have to play for after their Big 10 losses this year. With coach James Franklin probably out the door to greener pastures and with the Wolverines still with all their hopes and dreams ahead of them with their matchup with Ohio state I like Michagan to go into happy valley and emerge with a W. Plus how hard could it be Illinois did it this year.

Mississippi State vs Auburn (-6)

Here I go again chasing Auburn all over the country. Just when I think I have a beat on this team they completely surprise me. That being said back home on the Plains I like Bo Nix to play better. That along with the defense they’ve shown lately I think will slow down this state passing attack and Auburn wins this one comfortably at home.

Oklahoma (-5.5) vs Baylor

The week OU finally has a test on the schedule. You could however argue Oklahoma has made every week a test with the games theyve been playing this year. This game will tell whether or not Lincoln Riley is a fraud. I think he gets the boys up for this game and Caleb Williams plays well. I like the Sooners.

Georgia (-20) vs Tennessee

This Georgia team probably won’t get tested the rest of the year. I continually try to find new adjectives and sayings to describe this Georgia defense and I have settled on “They are a bunch of damn unholy jackels”. Take Georgia any way you please for the rest of the year.

Purdue vs Ohio State (-20.5)

The superweapon that is Purdue fired for the second time last week in a game I called with Purdue +3. That will not happen again this year. Purdue has used up all their magic dust for the season and Ohio State has a get right game after a barn burner in Lincoln last week. Buckeyes roll in this one.

Texas A&M (-2.5) vs Ole Miss

I think these are two teams headed in opposite directions at the moment. This Aggies defense has been their strength all year and with Matt Corral looking like a corpse like the last few weeks I think they will tee off on him in this one. The rebels will struggle to score and A&M will capitalize on some short fields from turnovers and down stops. A&M gets it done in the grove this saturday.

Arkansas (-2.5) vs LSU

Two years ago when these two teams last played in Death Valley the Bayou Bengals were in the middle of the best season in college football history. The Hogs were knee deep in one of their worst seasons ever finishing winless in SEC play that year. Fast forward to today and the Hogs are already bowl eligible and LSU has already for all intents and purposes fired the coach that won the title that year. If you would have told me then that just two years later the Hogs would be favored in a night game in Death Valley I would have had you commited. For all those reasons and the fact that Arkansas is just the better team this year give me the hogs laying the points in the place where opponent dreams come to die.

TCU vs Oklahoma State (-13)

Fresh off a big win at Baylor with their Interim coach the horned frogs have to venture to stillwater and play probably one of the best Mike Gundy teams in a while. This Cowboys defense is no joke and I like them to show TCU why they had to fire the great Gary Patterson this year.

5-3

Totals YTD 35-24

Toledo vs Bowling Green (Over 50.5)

It is not everyday you see midweek MAC totals this low. With both these teams coming off of games where 100 points were scored I will take the over. The boys in the desert clearly know something I do not with this matchup regardless I will grab the cheese from this trap.

Houston vs Temple (Over 53.5)

It’s all Dana and the boys from Houston in this one. I like the cougars to score a lot of points and we just need Temple to get a few scores at home and we are golden.

Northwestern vs Wisconsin (Over 41.5)

This could easily be a mistake in that I struggle to see how Northwestern can score in this one. I think this Wisconsin team has really turned a corner and fresh off a week where the offense looked like it had a pulse I will take the over. I know the badger 50 burger came against lowly rutgers, but I still like the badgers doing enough for us in this one.

Georgia vs Tennessee (Under 56)

I will continue to take Georgia Unders. They have won me too much money to stop at this point this year. I do think Tennessee has some offensive firepower to make Georgia upset for a moment but not enough to be of much concern.

Miami vs Florida State (Over 60)

Talk about a game that has lost all its luster over the last few decades. This matchup used to be one for the ages not so much anymore. I do think Miami has turned the page offensively by turning to Van Dyke at QB. I like this one to be fun and get us our points.

Arkansas vs LSU (Over 59)

Mid to upper 50s has been standard operating procedure on Arkansas overs nearly all season. I like the power of Death Valley to get LSU some extra points they don’t deserve in this one to get us to 60.

Utah vs Arizona (Over 54)

Arizona fresh off their first win since 2019 and look who they get coming to town. The Utes fresh off their dismantling of Stanford travel to Tucson and I like them to score a lot of points in this one with a little help from our wildcats though we should reach 55 with ease.

3-4
