Let’s just start by saying if you did not enjoy Penn St flailing their bodies in every possible way not to lose to unranked Illinois at home this sport may not be for you. What a week of fun games and the Big 10 East is just now really warming up. This week some premier matchups along with great games up and down the slate. Had an average week last week so a bit of a fall from where I had been picking, but still winning units overall with a 10-7 record last week. That all being said, let’s get into this week’s picks and get the net positive weeks to a month straight.

Sides YTD 26-21

Cincinnati (-25) vs Tulane

Bounce back game here for the Bearcats. They managed to hold on last week vs the Midshipman in Annapolis which is all you can ask them to do in that spot just win baby. This week though against a Tulane Defense that is not good at all I like Cincinnati to have a true style points game on the green wave.

Michigan (-4.5) vs Michigan St

Arguably the matchup of the weekend after Penn state lost last week at home to really take a lot of juice away from their matchup against Ohio State. Michigan has been consistent all year and I think that boring consistency continues this weekend. Mel Tucker should be in the running for coach of the year, but I like the Wolverines in this one to get the job done in East Lansing. I do not like the number, but I will hold my nose and take it. I would not take it if it gets any higher throughout the week.

Texas (+3.5) vs Baylor

I know Baylor has the little number next to their name and their home and I think they actually are a pretty good team, but I love the Longhorns in this spot. This is a team that is much better than their record and Baylor has a tough schedule the rest of the way I think the Bears drop this one at home.

Iowa St (-7) vs West Virginia

Most would say letdown spot here going on the road to west virginia after a huge win at home the previous week. I think this is the opposite where Matt Campbell will have his boys buzzing and I like the Cyclones to go on a bit of a run with a lot of conference games coming.

Colorado vs Oregon (-24)

After surviving last week in LA I love the Ducks and big, in this game. Oregon has to keep winning these Pac-12 games and in more convincing fashion to solidify their playoffs hopes. I do think the Ducks drop another one along the way to miss the playoffs, but I like them this week against a bad Colorado team at home.

Georgia (-14) vs Florida

Georgia is far and away the better team and the cocktail party could get very ugly this year. Florida may score a few times, but I struggle to see it. This defense is like getting thrown in a pit gators in a straight jacket. Gators become Gator Bait in Jacksonville this weekend.

Arizona (+21) vs USC

The Arizona Wildcats make what I believe is their first appearance on this write up. I liked the fight I saw from this Zona squad at home and I think USC is a dumpster fire right now (Maybe Hire Jeff Fisher???). I like the wildcats to keep it within three scores and probably lose a heartbreaker in LA.

Kentucky (-1.5) vs Mississippi state

I still love this Kentucky team and I don’t think this State team is for real. The bulldogs results this year are a very mixed bag that’s honestly quite hard to read. That being said I love this Kentucky team of a bye week given some time to bandage themselves up after playing between the hedges give me the wildcats in this one.

Ole Miss (+2.5) vs Auburn

Honestly a little confused by the line in this one. I know Bo Nix has been playing better as of late and Auburn is on the plains where they tend to play much better, but giving me points with Ole Miss vs most teams in the country and I am gonna take them give me the Rebels in this one.

SMU (Pk) vs Houston

This is a sneaky underrated game this week in the American that should not fly under your radar. I like the Mustangs because their offense with that QB is elite and their Defense should be able to make just enough stops to beat this cougar squad. Give me SMU.

2-8

Totals YTD 26-18

Cincinnati vs Tulane (Over 61.5)

This one is all about that Bearcats offense versus a porous at best defense for the green wave. Tulane has shown they can put up a few points, but I believe we are looking at a 50-21 game in this one or something of the sorts.

Michigan vs Michigan St (Over 50.5)

Big Brother vs Little Brother as a eldest child myself I already chose Michigan to cover, but I also like the over in this one. Both of these teams have improved offenses compared to years past when they have met. I worry about Michigan’s QB situation and this game definitely has the potential to just turn into a Big 10 punt fest. Regardless I like the over in the game of the week.

Miami vs Pitt (Over 61)

Kenny Pickett is the real deal holyfield. I think this canes defense still has a lot of holes and at home in Pittsburgh I think this can turn into a fireworks show for the panthers. Miami has shown improvement in the last few weeks surprisingly still playing for Manny Diaz and the new QB under center the last few loves to throw deep all a recipe for an over.

Missouri vs Vandy (Under 63.5)

This total definitely sticks out to me. Granted, Mizzou’s defense is not very good, but Vandy’s Offense is inept. I don’t see Mizzou scoring 40+ so give me the under in this one. I really like this under in a game that does not deserve 60 points to be scored.

Colorado vs Oregon (Over 49.5)

This is about if Oregon can get to 50. I really think we may need it for this over to hit. I can see Colorado getting around 10 points though. Anything under 50 is still too low for an Oregon total.

Florida vs Georgia (Under 51.5)

All comes back to the Best Defense in the country. I will keep writing Georgia and their unders over and over on this sheet, because their winners. It may not be as enjoyable of a viewing experience as years past for the cocktail party, but I am sure bulldogs fans won’t complain.

Kentucky vs Mississippi state (Over 47)

As much as I like this Kentucky defense I do see the Bulldogs scoring a few points at home and 47 on a non Big 10 game nowadays is just too low. I like the value here under the football number of 48 so give me the over on this one.

Ohio State vs Penn State (Over 59.5)

Ohio state overs what can I say? This Ohio state team is good for 40 every time they step off the bus. I think it will be interesting to see if James Franklin can get the boys up for this game at all with already having an odd press conference this week seemingly thinking he was playing Illinois again this week. That being said, Ohio State is the Antithesis of Iowa, and Wisconsin in that they will score a bucket of points.
