What a rough week of gambling last week. That stunk really bad so I hope yall took my free advice to fade last week. Last week was a correction week for the most part in that teams like Georgia and Alabama news flash are still light years ahead of all the other teams in the sport. Cincinnati beating Notre Dame was interesting and Oregon falling to Stanford was somehow seemingly forgotten with all its endzone fades and all so with that being said I’m looking to get back on track with some fresh picks this week. Also Texas -5.5 was brutal hope you all waited and got 5 for a push. What do you do when you’re down you add more picks to get back into the black.
Sides YTD 9-12
W Coastal Carolina (-19) vs Arkansas St
The RedWolves are 1-4 so far this year and their chances of winning a game won’t improve this week with the Chanticleers coming to town. The first place sunbelt team takes care of business tomorrow night and routs this state team.
W Houston (-6) vs Tulane
I like the Cougars in this one. This is a Tulane team that has shown fight at times but I really think that Dana Holgerson is starting to get things figured out in H-Town. The Cougs may sleep walk early in this game due to a dominant win against Tulsa last week and this being another Thursday night game, but their talent wins out and they cover this number.
W Stanford vs Arizona St. (-12.5)
This is a classic let down spot. Everything in my brain told me to take Stanford and the points when I saw this one. Then I realized it is a late night game in the desert on a friday night. I like that we’re getting a bit of a discount on the forks in this one in that Stanford has had weird lines and weird games all year, but inside the football number I will take the Sun Devils in this one.
W Arkansas (+6) vs Ole Miss
My good friend Maxwell will be at this game looking around for where he is gonna live next year when he is a student there. That being said we must make him suffer for that decision and grind Ole Miss into dust this week. Matt Corral threw 6 INTs vs this Razorback defense last year in Fayetteville and while I do not think it will be that bad this year I have trouble seeing Ole Miss being able to stop the Razorbacks rushing attack this saturday.
L Oklahoma vs Texas (+3.5)
Texas didn’t cover last week in what was more than likely a look ahead game for the longhorns. Oklahoma and Rattler have continued to not show me anything this year and while they are still undefeated this is one of the biggest tests left on their schedule and of course a big rivalry game give me the horns and the points and it should be a fun game.
L Boise State vs BYU (-6)
I have been on the wrong side of Boise seemingly all year. I think however in morman land they will struggle and BYU and Cosmo the Cougar will beat the broncos and cover the number.
W Georgia (-15) vs Auburn
I have learned my lesson from last week. This Georgia Bulldogs team is the best team in the country according to my eyeballs through 5 games this year. Their defense is like being in a death roll with a gator. Auburn also coming off a game where they burned too much emotional fuel with their first win at death valley since 1999. Give me the dogs.
W Penn State vs Iowa (-1.5)
This game will be an all time Big 10 punt fest. This will be a field position battle all game where punting from your opponents 37 will probably happen. I think playing at Kinnick gives the Hawkeyes the edge. I still don’t buy the Hawks offense after Maryland seeing as they got a lot of short fields in that game. I still like them Enough to get the job done in what will be the biggest Big 10 game so far this year.
W LSU vs Kentucky (-3.5)
I have been like a dog with a bone on Kentucky so far this year. I still have a lot of doubts about this LSU team and with their inability to run the ball on anyone that will really allow this Kentucky Defense to tee off on Johnson and the tigers passing attack. The Kentucky Offense still leaves a bit to be desired in my mind, but playing at home and with that defense the Wildcats should be more than fine in this one.
L Michigan (-3.5) vs Nebraska
Oh boy what has gotten into the corn huskers these last few weeks. Coming off an absolute drubbing of Northwestern the corn huskers return home to have Jim Harbaugh and the wolverines enter town. I think this Michigan team is better than Michigan teams of the past and I think they go to Nebraska and get out with a win.
7-3
Totals YTD 11-10
W Stanford vs Arizona St (Under 51.5)
Stanford’s last 12 october games have all under the point total. I think Herm gets the devils to play a good defensive game. We hit a double winner with a Arizona state cover and this under.
W Arkansas vs Ole Miss (Over 66)
Ole Miss is the most dynamic Offense this hogs team has faced all year I think this one could be a back and forth shoot out. I like the over and it should be a fun game in Oxford even though the SEC really ruined the timing making this one a 11 am kickoff.
L Michigan St vs Rutgers (Over 50)
Michigan State has shown a lot more life than I have given them credit for this year. I like a close game somewhere around 31-24 in this one. I think it will stay tight with a few big plays and we are gonna get to 50.
L Vanderbilt vs Florida (Over 59)
I think Florida takes out last week’s frustrations with an absolute beatdown in the swamp over poor Vanderbilt. I think Florida might get to this number on their own if they want to.
W Georgia vs Auburn (Under 46.5)
I have no belief that Auburn will be able to move the ball at all on this Georgia team. This one really depends on how much Georgia wants to score.
W UConn vs UMass (Under 55)
We have decided as a country that these are the two worst football programs in the country. I think UConn will win this week. I do not think they will combine for over 55 points. So let it be written, So let it be done.
W Wisconsin vs Illinois (Under 42)
Neither of these teams seem capable of scoring so I will take the under and laugh when it is either one of the two following scenarios. 10-3 final Wisconsin, or 21-10 Wisconsin after one quarter I’m betting it will be the former.
5-2
