Well, just when you think you have the teams in the NFL figured out they throw you a curve ball. I was very very confident going into last week with those picks, and the three best teams choked so damn hard. In all fairness that Dolphins game was a trap, but I didn’t think they would struggle that hard against the Bills. The Bills may very well still be a wagon to jump on. I also was not expecting the Commies to keep up with the Eagles while in Philly, that was one of my top picks last week. The two bets I won last week was the two toss up games, so that’s neat. 2-3 overall last week, gotta do better. Lets get to this week.
NFL Picks YTD 8-8-2
Bears vs Commanders (-5.5)
Anyone else confused on this line? Just me? This is a no brainer in my opinion. The Bears are so historically and comically bad its actually hilarious to me. They literally gave up over 3 scores in a quarter after playing really well the rest of the game, and lost. I have zero faith in this Bears team, and the Commanders proved last week they are a decent team. Go Commies baby!
Jaguars vs Bills (-5.5)
Why the Bills are listed as the home team in London? I’m not sure. Does it matter they are traveling across the pond to the Jags second home? Probably. Am I still going to hop back on the Bills wagon? Yep. Bills proved they are as high powered as ever, the Jags don’t have any buy in from me. Bills Mafia in London Sunday morning.
Panthers vs Lions (-9.5)
I love everything about this. Team is buying into the BRAND NEW LIONS. MCDC and the boys are at home in Detroit. They are coming off an incredible win, with MCDC giving one hell of a post game speech. I think the Panthers are just that bad, and the Lions get it done.
Chiefs (-4) vs Vikings
I like this line a lot. Vikings keep screwing up so badly, I don’t think they can keep it this close. I will say they are good at playing at home and it feels like the Chiefs are struggling. May be another trap line but I say go with the Chiefs on the road.
Cowboys (+3.5) vs 49ers
Any reasonable person will probably take the Niners, and that’s ok. Cowboys are firing on all cylinders still. CMC is the biggest thing that scares me in this game, and double that because Parsons was a little fragile last Sunday. I think the Cowboys find a way to get out of this Redzone funk and stand up the Niners offense. Go Cowboys baby! (P.S. Friendly reminder this is not financial or gambling advice)
Packers vs Raiders (-102)
Honestly, I hate this game. The Spread is just a pickem basically. The over/under is too low for my liking on the under, but I am also not confident at all in any NFL overs right now. The Packers just don’t appear to be doing well in the Jordan Love era. I think the Raiders play well at home and pull out the win.
