We are so back. First week back on the sheet and we end with beating the juice. Didn’t profit a ton, but positive is the right direction. I was 1 point away from having a 5-0 week last week, but the Texans and Bills fucked me. Missed the spread on those 2 games by half a point is an absolute heart breaker, but hey that’s football baby.
I think we learned a couple things from the Texans and Colts game. Texans defense cant cover shit downfield. And Anthony Richardson loves to just huck it down field and pray his receiver downfield is there. The amount of times the Texans secondary got burned by that exact play was so obnoxious. I think the Colts are going to get better as the season goes on though.
CARDINALS??? The Cardinals vs Bills game was a huge shock. Cardinals coming out of the gate swinging was something I did not see coming. Kyler Murray is mediocre at best, and the Bills in recent years have been damn good. This was not the case in this game. I missed part of it, but this Bills team was not clicking like they usually do. Definitely something to look out for, especially with a potential injury Josh Allen sustained during the game.
Now on to DEM BOYZ. What a game to start on. Cowboys defense looks outstanding. First offensive drive was abysmal but they seemed to pull it together pretty quickly. CeeDee is certainly still CeeDee. I continue to stan with Dak and I am excited to see what this team continues to do. We got the Saints this week who looked better than I thought they might. Watson and this Browns team sucks for the time being, nothing to continue elaborating on here.
Rams definitely made me sweat spread with the Lions. that 4.5 point cover was not looking good and overtime is just what I needed. I think the Rams pulled it together a bit more in the second half, but the Lions are certainly still the brand new Lions and I think they have the potential to make a run. Will continue to keep an eye on the Lions lines.
Jets vs the 49ers seems kind of boring to me from what I watched. Purdy is electric to watch as always, and I think this team is going to be something to be reckoned with this season. Jets looks bad all around. Rogers didn’t really do anything Rogers normally would. I’m not sure what he was thinking trying to pull a Brady to go win a ring with some other team no one gives a shit about. Over hit and that’s all that matters.
NFL Picks YTD 3-2
Bills vs. Dolphins (-2.5)
2.5 points here feels like a good bet to me. If the Dolphins come out on top I dont see it being any closer than the 3 points. Josh Allen seems to have lost a lot of the talent in the receiving department that he used to have. I admittedly did not get to watch the fins play last week, but I do know that on paper they got this in the bag. I am riding with the fins in Miami on a Thursday night.
Buccaneers vs. Lions Under 51.5
In my eyes there is no way this game goes over 51 points. Lions have the team to score a lot, I just dont see the Bucs being able to do the same. I think the Lions defense locks it down in Detroit in this game.
Chargers (-5.5) vs. Panthers
At this point just bet against the Panthers until it stops paying out. The panthers are not a good team. I do not expect this fact to change. I think the Chargers are on the up and up. I expect this game to be won by 10+.
Rams (+100) vs. Cardinals
I may regret this later but I like the Rams here. They just seem like the better team. I have not seen enough to prove to me the Cardinals are a worthy team at all. Rams ML is a good value here.
Bears vs. Texans Under 45.5
This is going to be such a boring Sunday night game. Bears suck so bad. I really dont know about the Texans quite yet. The spread on this game is shit. I am banking on this game to be boring as hell. Take the Under here.
Falcons vs. Eagles (-6.5)
This may be a mistake. From what I saw the Eagles still look pretty good. As a Cowboys fan I hate this pick. But as a logical bettor this makes sense. I think the Falcons are a broken team. Eagles cover in the home opener.
