Ramblin, Gamblin NFL PickEm Year 4 Week 1

Welcome back ladies and gents, and degenerates alike. Football is so back and I am so ready for an amazing season. I intentionally skipped last nights Cowboys v Eagles game, so I could suffer in silence without putting my false hope on the internet. I will say, I won every bet I placed last night, so I guess I should have wrote this yesterday? Maybe the tables are HOT. Last night’s game was very surprising as a Cowboys fan, but nevertheless heartbreaking. Few keys to take away from last night. It seems both Dallas and Philly’s defense cant stop shit. Neither team even bothered to try and stop a quarterback scramble, especially the Cowboys. I also think we can all say for certain both of those offense’s will be high power, high scoring all season as long as they stay healthy.

Last year might have been my best year yet in terms of just my record for picks. I managed to pull out a record of 49-37 before getting a bit busy and hanging it up for the year. I will try my best to keep up this year, no promises. All that being said, this is a brand new NFL season. Who knows what this year will bring, who will be my favorite team to make money on? Who’s to tell. But we will all experience it here together. Lets dive right in.

NFL Picks YTD 0-0

Chiefs (-3) vs. Chargers

This game feels sort of like a trap to me. Both these teams were pretty decent last year. I really thought the Chargers would make a run into the playoffs, but they fizzled out. Justin Herbert and the boys could very well go and disappoint the Chiefs. However, I am no fool. I know the Chiefs, they havent lost enough for me to bet against them now. Hate it or love it, Patrick Mahomes is good at playing Quarterback. Isiah Pacheco is a mad man in the open field. Put me on the hype train, give me THE CHIIIEEEEFFFs.

Bengals (-5.5) vs. Browns

I know its a new season and all, BUT the Bengals are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games. They also happen to be 4-1 ATS in the last 5 match ups with the Browns. Browns are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games. Bengals have the potential to be a force to be reckoned with. Maybe we will see the Chiefs and Bengals battling it out for the AFC at the end of the year? Easy pick for me, Joey Burrow balls out in the game opener.

49ers (-1.5) vs. Seahawks

Am I missing something here? This feels like disrespect to the 49ers. Why is everyone sleeping on them? 49ers literally have Brock Purdy and Christian McCaffery. Not to mention Juan Jennings and Kittle. Seahawks have Sam Darnold at the helm of a new team. I just dont see them being ready to take on such a high powered offense right off the rip. Niners all day.

Ravens vs. Bills (Over 50.5)

What a game for the first Sunday Night Football of the year. This game will not doubt be electric. We are in Buffalo, so I lean towards them getting it done, but they are the dawgs here. So someone knows something that I dont. I like both these teams to score a lot, so Ill take the over for the sheet. Might take the Bills ML as a side.

Vikings vs. Bears (Over 43.5)

No one knows what either of these teams are going to be yet. Vibes almost feel like both these teams are starting over. Personally I would put my faith in Caleb Williams to at least keep it close. However, I would not put my money on it. This o/u seems insanely low. I like there to be enough scoring to cover 43.5.
