YTD 106-105-1 +1 Unit
Just cannot put together back to back winning weeks this year. 50% of my bets have settled as a win this year might as well just toss a coin up in the air and decide these things like two face and try and spin an nice tail to try and convince myself they are the winning picks. There is a saying in college football though, you are what you are based on how you perform in November. All of my goals are still attainable. I control my own destiny gambling this month. It all starts this Saturday with some huge games south of the mason dixon line.
Sides YTD 59-64-1
Iowa (+3.5) vs Purdue
The Hawkeyes travel to West Lafayette this weekend looking for just their second road win of the season. This is a team that has had a tough last month having played and lost against Michigan, Illinois, and Ohio State. The Hawkeyes took care of business last week and beat a putrid Northwestern team. I think this will end up being around a field goal game so give me the three points with a hook along with the brownie points from the Hawkeye in my life for choosing them to get it done this weekend.
Kentucky (-1) vs Mizzou
Getting a discount on the wildcats this week have to take it. A week after a huge home win for Mizzou against South Carolina it is only natural for them to fall back to earth this week. The wildcats also could not have looked worse last week up on rocky top. Those two factors point to the fact the line would be more in the ballpark of 3.5-7 before last week. I like Mark Stoops to be able to take his team to columbia and right the ship this weekend.
Penn State (-13.5) vs Indiana
After hanging around with big bad Ohio State the Nittany Lions are being forced to play a game in Bloomington Indiana. The fact that Indiana’s only Big 10 win is against the future Big 10 west champion Illini is borderline blasphemous. Penn State is going to roll in to this game and assert themselves early and often Penn State rolls.
Michigan (-26) vs Rutgers
When good/great Big 10 teams play bottom of the barrel conference opponents do not be afraid to lay big numbers. I like the Wolverines to have seen what the playoff committee thought of their season so far and look to run up the score on the knights on the road.
Texas Tech vs TCU (-8.5)
I have been watching from a far this great TCU season blooming in Ft Worth. Every week I have been thinking they got to lose soon. By betting on them for the first time this year I think I am virtually guaranteeing them a loss this weekend. That being said lets get it Max Duggin sling that pigskin kid.
Alabama vs LSU (+13.5)
Both of these squads took their annual bye week before locking tusks and fangs this Saturday in Baton Rouge. The Crimson tide have won every matchup in Death Valley since 2010. I like how this tigers team has been operating on offense of late in terms of picking up yards on first down especially. Saban is the black hole that consumes all, but I cant help but think that Kelly will have a little something up the sleeves for his first matchup in this storied rivalry game. LSU may not go home happy with a win, but I like them to keep it within the number with a little sprinkle of cajun magic this Saturday night.
Tennessee vs Georgia (-8)
What a game this should be. People are saying this is the GOTY in college football. The Vols venture on down from their rocky top homes to travel to Athens Georgia. Tennessee has been fortunate to get all their big games this year at home so far and while I do not think the environment in Athens will be off putting I do believe it is disadvantage for them simply for the fact they won’t have the energy Knoxville infuses into this team. Now people may say well Georgia really has not played anybody why are they 8 point favorites just give me the vols and the points. Those people may well very be right. This Georgia defense I think may be the one individual unit that can keep Tennessee from a title this year. Vegas has made their feelings very clear making Georgia a bigger favorite than they were even in the SEC championship game last year vs Alabama. I will ride with the team that has made me the most money in the last two years give me UGA and the dogs.
Totals YTD 47-41-1
Air Force vs Army (Under 40.5)
It is a service academy under you know the drill just take it and enjoy your cash.
Ohio State vs Northwestern (Over 55.5)
Supposed to be a ton of bad weather in this game. Regardless we will be sticking with the mantra of taking Ohio State overs.
Penn State vs Indiana (Over 51)
I really think Penn State can pick their number in this matchup and all they need to do is give up 10-17 points in this game for this to be a winner.
Tennessee vs Georgia (Over 65)
I think both of these offenses can score I would love a 42-30 Georgia win this saturday.
Liberty vs Arkansas (Over 61)
Look for Rocket Sanders to have over 200 yards rushing and 3 scores in this one the hogs keep it rolling in Fayetteville this weekend.
Texas vs Kansas State (Over 54.5)
Kansas State has shown an ability to complete passes in recent weeks and with the longhorns coming off a bye week I look for both of these teams to be making explosive plays in this game.
